top20progsongs

A list of the best Prog songs from 2015.

#12 – Steve Hackett – Love Song To A Vampire

A brilliant haunting song with many layers from the guitar legend.  The chorus is epic while the ending is a total welcome surprise.

#11 – Gazpacho – Know Your Time

This band continues to create some of the most unique music in Prog.  Much of the album features this tribal groove but this song has a great, memorable chorus.

#10 – Queensryche – Condition Human

Queensryche’s latest album closes on this song that is also the album’s longest track in the vein of iconic classics like “Roads to Madness” and “Anybody Listening?”

#9 – Caligula’s Horse – Marigold

This Australian group hits a home run with this explosive track from their major label debut ‘Bloom.’

  • I haven’t heard Falling for Forever yet, but Neal Morse Band’s Alive Again is the best prog epic I’ve heard from him. I like The Call, but that’s my favorite song from him of the whole catalog (again, Falling for Forever aside, since I haven’t heard it yet).
