Myles Yang – guitarist of Boston, MA based progressive act Native Construct – has just launched a new series of instructional music theory videos, entitled “Music with Myles”. Watch the first episode (“How to make interesting Chord Progressions with Modal Interchange”) here:
Myles comments: “I’ve been really surprised by the scarcity of quality instructional music theory content on the Internet. In my eyes, music is a repository of fun and useful concepts that are just begging to be shared — particularly in a neat, digestible package. Music with Myles is an experiment in just that. If the people seem interested in the idea, there will be more to follow, so let me know! This first episode is geared toward a more advanced audience, but feel free to ask any questions in the comments, and to request topics for me to cover in the future.”
Myles is also available for private music lessons via Skype. For more info, email him at [email protected]
Native Construct is currently in the midst of writing their sophomore album for Metal Blade Records with an expected release date for the second half of 2017.
In addition to securing multiple national tours, including a full USA trek with Between the Buried and Me, Native Construct also debuted on the Billboard charts (#56 Hard Music Albums Chart; #85 New Artist Chart) with Quiet World.
