The Radicant, new band featuring Anathema singer Vincent Cavanagh, share debut single “Zero Blue”

Vincent Cavanagh, formerly of Anathema, has revealed his new project, The Radicant. You can hear the band’s debut single “Zero Blue” now here, from their EP, We Ascend.  The Radicant’s “We Ascend” EP showcases a broad range of sonic influences, from the energetic drum and bass of “Zero Blue” to the sweeping cinematic electronica of the title track. Available on classic black 12″ vinyl starting July 12th, this release exemplifies Vincent Cavanagh’s artistic vision.

Vincent Cavanagh is currently in the studio working on his debut album as The Radicant, set for release next year.

Speaking on the new single, Vincent shared: “I’ve waited for this day for a long time. After years of composing with (and for) visual artists, I’m excited to release my own music as The Radicant. Big love to the Kscope fam and everyone involved.”

Cavanagh draws inspiration from both botany and art curator Nicolas Bourriaud. The term “radicant” refers to organisms that gradually form roots as they grow, allowing them to adapt and thrive on various surfaces.

The EP’s refined production is a testament to the synergy between Cavanagh and acclaimed French producer Ténèbre. Sam John at Precise Mastering has polished the tracks to perfection, enhancing the immersive experience. This rich production quality complements the vivid imagery and visual elements expected in live performances.
