Genesis’ landmark debut 1969 album From Genesis To Revelation is set to be celebrated in a major new series of reissues, with a deluxe 4CD/Blu-ray box set, a double vinyl edition, and a remixed and remastered 2CD edition, all newly prepared with the approval of original band members Tony Banks, Peter Gabriel, Anthony Phillips and Mike Rutherford.

Originally released in March 1969, From Genesis To Revelation marked the beginning of an extraordinary journey, the first chapter in the story of a band that would go on to achieve immense success and lasting acclaim. These new editions offer the most comprehensive and revealing presentation of the album to date, revisiting this vital early work with fresh perspective and unprecedented depth.

At the heart of all formats is a powerful new stereo mix by Stephen W Tayler, created with a renewed focus on the band’s performances and with less emphasis on the orchestral elements that shaped the original release. The result is both revelatory and immersive, bringing new clarity and immediacy to the album while preserving the spirit of these remarkable recordings. The double vinyl edition also includes a bonus 12-inch EP featuring new mixes of A Winter’s Tale, One Eyed Hound, Image Blown Out and Visions Of Angels, the latter previously unreleased.

The centrepiece of the campaign is the deluxe 5-disc 4CD + Blu-ray box set, a richly expanded edition that presents the album in multiple forms. Alongside the new stereo mix, the set includes newly remastered versions of the original mono and stereo LP mixes, associated singles, rare recordings and a full disc of demos from 1967 and 1968, four of which are previously unreleased and newly mixed by Stephen W Tayler. The accompanying Blu-ray features 96 kHz / 24-bit Dolby Atmos, 5.1 Surround Sound and stereo mixes, offering listeners the chance to experience the album in stunning high-resolution audio.

The box set also includes exclusive video content featuring Tony Banks, Peter Gabriel and Mike Rutherford in conversation at AIR Studios in London, reflecting on the album and reviewing the new mixes. Completing the package is a 68-page illustrated book featuring an extensive essay by Jon Dann, with contributions from Tony Banks, Peter Gabriel, Anthony Phillips and Mike Rutherford, placing the album in its proper historical and creative context.

Taken together, these new editions of From Genesis To Revelation shine a fresh light on a fascinating and formative release – the sound of Genesis at the very beginning, now revisited with the care, insight and collaboration with the musicians who made it.
